Otara Creek Restoration

The senior students of BMPS have been digging in and getting their hands dirty... literally.

Over the last two days, all of the senior students have travelled to Te Irirangi Reserve to participate in the Otara Creek restoration programme.

We were educated about the living creatures that can be found in the creek and the importance of having cool, clean, and highly oxygenated fresh water for them.
We then planted trees alongside the creek which will eventually provide shade for the creek and habitation for birds and insects too.

What a wonderful feeling it was to be dressing Papatuanuku with her new plants and trees.
